My Ninja experience

Recently I got the chance to do something that I used to dream about all the time as a kid. I got to meet two ninjas at a local fair in my area, while these weren't the traditional Japanese ninjas i grew up watching of TV, I still saw it as a goal completed. The thing that was so special to me about these ninjas, is that when they were done with their incredible acts, they were able to give words of inspiration to all of the children in the crowd eagerly looking up to the two men with hope in their eyes that they too could become ninjas one day. The men on stage did more that just say "anyone can be a ninja if they want" they made sure to tell the children watching that it takes hard work and that they need to train with safety first and under the supervision of qualified professionals. This was an incredible show, with a positive message, and what is even more incredible is that fate wanted me to stay.

I had gotten to the fair really early yesterday, hours before any events or rides started, because I was so excited. By the time it was close for the ninja show, I almost just decided to go home and forget about it, but something told me I should stay. Having bipolar is a weird rollercoaster of emotions and mental states of being. I can go from manic and jumping between accomplishing different goals and tasks, to quickly loosing steam and feeling too depressed to even get out of bed. There are also times in between where everything seems calm but not super depressed, but i never know how long it will last. Recently I've been teetering back and forth between the three with my current state being more normal, but I was beginning to lose that sense of normal this round. Being able to find things I enjoy doing such ad going to this show, is actually helping to keep me balanced somewhere between the two extremes. I know I was meant to go to that show. By seeing how inspired these American ninjas made the children in the audience, I got some of my inspiration as well.

Thank you mom

I Want to thank my mother Nicole Dorr for always being there for me. On this journey you have been supportive of me, and have pulled me out of a bad investment deal. Because of you and dad, I'm able to live this life, and do things like be out on the water to take such beautiful pictures of the sunset going to an island to watch fireworks. You are always the grounding force of realism among my flurry of daydream fantasies, and though I don't always show it, I do appreciate it very much.
